Interface Converters

To use existing services with cost-effective, there are so many interface converters that existing Systems can work with new systems. For the existing classical old systems there are SDH equipments that are giving E1 interfaces over Fiber Optic cables. You have only E1 interface but you need Ethernet services, Voice services(E&M, FXS, FXO), low speed data services like Async RS232, Sync V.35…etc

E1 – V35 converter

Standards of data communications are uniformed. But multiple standards are sometimes created to the same purpose, how to ensure communication between equipment from different vendors. Interface Converter can meet this requirement, for example, V.35, E1 have little function difference, but they are different in electrical and physical characteristics. RC903/4-

V35FE1 is Interface Converter between V.35 and E1 interface with selectable data rate of n*64k and transmit timing source. Error detection procedures are supported by loop-back function. It provides a solution of remote connection of routers, and it’s a common equipment in WAN.

RC903 and RC904 Features:

Provide one DCE interface of V.35 synchronous data complies with ITU

Provide one E1 interface (120ohm balanced E1 interface is optional and supporting

long haul transmission distance of E1 can up to 1.8km) complies with ITU-T G.703

Utilize ITU-T G.704 frame format to adjust the bandwidth of V.35 interface

Provide local and remote loop-back function, it is convenient to judge the state of error bit

Support both E1 framed format and unframed format, time-slots can be distributed random in fractional mode

Provide three kinds of clock mode: internal clock, line clock and V.35 terminal clock

The remote device can detect the local device automatically to synchronize time slot confi guration when the devices are used in pairs in fractional mode

Built-in Error Bit Tester, it can cooperate with various loop-back mode to realize diagnosing and test of link

PCM30/PCM31 is optional and CRC4 check function is auto-sensing in fractional mode

Provide adjusting function of V.35 receiving data phase

Provide fault propagation function, and the line fault can be tested from the V35 interface

The module can be plugged into RC001-1,RC001/002-4 and RC002-16 chassis

Ethernet over E1 Converter

At the Transmission systems, there are E1 interfaces that work on fiber cable. At these SDH-Transmission systems so many applications need to use different interfaces like V.35. At SDH E1 interfaces, if you want to use Ethernet connection you must use E1-Ethernet converters.

RC953-4FExE1T1 series Ethernet Demarcation Devices

Raisecom RC953-4FExE1T1 series are intelligent Ethernet Demarcation Devices (EDD). The devices are typically owned by carriers/service providers, but are working at the border of customer’s network and carrier’s network and provding a clear demarcation point between the two.

A device of RC953-4FExE1T1 series offers 4 FE downlink ports and 4/8 E1/T1 uplinks. Customized Ethernet service traffic will be transmitted over carrier owned PDH network to the Ethernet aggregator working at the POP site.

Raisecom EDD is not only capable of doing what a layer-2 switch is capable of on Ethernet switching, but is inherently good at network diagnostics as a device working on the border. With IEEE802.1ag, the network administrators from the carrier are provided with a tool of Ethernet debug. The device can be either deployed in a point to point topology, or in a point to multi-point topology as CPEs. HDLC/GFP encapsulation configurable makes the RC953-4FExE1T1 series of devices be capable of working with both Raisecom RC953E series or RC959 series Ethernet aggregators.

Apart from local CLI management, RC953-4FExE1T1 series are also available with inband web-based management, and can further be monitored in a centralized
