Power Plants Communication Requirements:

Power Plants Communication requirements are the official articles prepared by Teaiş of the communication systems of HES, RES, GPP, DGÇS, OSB to be connected to Teiaş with 154 kV or 380 kV lines to be made within the scope of the connection agreement. Communication Requirements article is the technical articles describing the communication system, capacity, and technical features of the devices to be installed between the new center and the center to be connected. In addition, this article explains the individual components of the 64 KBps leased line to which load dispatch center, telephone communication with PAX or remote subscriber, RTU system, and the Cramper system to be installed if the line is not OPGW.

Communication within the scope of Power Plants communication requirements consists of the following topics: Communication of RTU and PAX devices that provide communication over Türk Telekom leased line, OPGW Communication, Crampor Communication. For RTU and PAX communication, the PAX device is installed as required in the communication requirements of Power Plants in the relevant switchyard. The PAX device must be compatible with the PAX device in YTM, and communication is done through the leased line. Although the speed of the leased line is 64 Kbps, the speech channel from Pax is compressed on Multiplexer and occupies a 12 kbps band, and RTU’s channel is 19,200.Multiplexer combines these two channels and transmits them to YTM over the leased line. Multiplexer in YTM opens these incoming channels. It gives the system as voice and data. RTU devices transmit the data to YTM with the IEC870-5-101 protocol at a rate of 19,200 Kbps over the leased line.

Other communication devices within the scope of Power Plants communication requirements are SDH and MULTIPLEXER (digital multiplexer) systems operating over OPGW cable. Uninterrupted, reliable, high speed (STM1, STM4, STM16, STM64) communication infrastructure is established between the SDH and digital multiplexer systems and the substation and switchgear to which it is connected. High-speed Ethernet, E1 and low-speed audio-data channels (E&M, FXS, FXO, Co-Dir, RS232) are transmitted via the established SDH and Multiplexer systems.

Another part of the Communication Requirements is the Teleprotection system. Communication of distance protection relays in substations is provided by Teleprotection devices installed on OPGW systems. Teleprotection devices provide dry contact communication interface for communication with relays. Teleprotection devices have 8 inputs and 8 outputs. The signal coming to the inputa on one side comes out from the output on the other side and triggers the relay through a dry contact. In this way, the system completes itself.

While the communication infrastructure is provided within the scope of Teiaş Communication Requirements, on the other hand, a Signal List is prepared and presented to Power Plants within the scope of Teleinformation Plan to be presented to Power Plants for RTU Communication. In this Signal List presented, the content, details and addressing of the signals are included. After approving the signal list, Power Plants logs into the system. At the last point, by appointment with Teiaş, after the whole system is ready, Point-to-Point tests are passed. Point-to-Point tests consist of simulation test and real value test. After all the tests are successful, Power Plants prepares a report and the installation of the system is completed.
